Your couples' wedding website details are printed on everything you make for them. A short link they control means those details are easy to type and stay right after the cards have gone out.
The problem you already know
Couples send long website addresses, often late, sometimes with a typo. A long address makes a dense QR code that needs printing large. And if the couple moves to a different website builder after printing, every printed address and code points to the old one.
What a short link fixes
- Short and easy to type, such as thisisourwedding.co.uk/samandalex, in place of a long address with numbers in it.
- A print-ready QR code, free: an SVG, which stays sharp at any size, and a PNG. Because the code holds a short link, it has fewer squares and scans more easily at small sizes.
- Changes never mean reprinting. The couple can change where the link goes as often as they like. The printed link and code stay the same.
- It lasts beyond the day. Couples choose how long, up to 3 years, so the same link can lead to the photos afterwards.
How it works with your process
- The couple chooses their link on thisisourwedding.co.uk and pays £2.99 a month, either monthly until they cancel or up front to a date they choose.
- Their link is live within minutes, and they can download the SVG QR code straight away.
- They send you the link and the SVG with their wording. You place them like any other artwork.
- Scan the code from your printed proof before the run, and type the link on a phone. Our guide to QR codes on wedding invitations covers size, margins, contrast and foil.

Want your wedding website on your invitations? Ask us about a short link from thisisourwedding.co.uk: it's easy for guests to type, comes with a print-ready QR code, and you can change where it goes at any time, so nothing needs reprinting if your plans change.
Good to know
- Guests aren't tracked, and we never show who bought a link.
- For the first 72 hours after a link is set up or changed, a link to a website we don't recognise shows guests a one-click "you're leaving" page, to stop scammers misusing short links. Links to well-known wedding website services go straight through. If you test a link in that window, that's the page you'll see.
