Minted gives you a wedding website at your names followed by .minted.us. Here's how to get it onto your invitations in a form guests can type, and why a link you control helps if anything changes.
Changing a Minted address doesn't redirect
Minted lets you change your website address in the website's Settings tab, but the old address doesn't redirect to the new one. If the old one is printed, guests who type it won't find you. With a short link, you change where the link points instead.
QR codes
Minted can add a QR code to stationery you order from Minted. If you're printing elsewhere, or want the code to survive a change of website, use the free QR code that comes with your short link.
Password protection
Minted lets you add a website password in Settings, under Privacy. Guests following your short link see the password prompt first, so include the password on the card or send it separately.
Setting it up
- Copy your Minted website address, and check it opens in a private browser window.
- On our home page, choose your short link, such as thisisourwedding.co.uk/samandalex, and paste your Minted address into "Where it should go".
- Pay £2.99 a month, monthly or up front. Your link and its QR code are ready straight away.
- Print the link and the SVG QR code on your stationery. Links to Minted go straight through for guests.
